This is a reminder that due to labour action, all OCDSB elementary schools will be closed to K-8 students on January 20th. This includes grade 7 and 8 students attending Bell, Earl of March, Longfields-Davidson Heights, Merivale and Sir Robert Borden High Schools. Parents should make alternate childcare arrangements as students cannot attend school. The OCDSB  Extended Day Program will be open for those students who are currently registered in EDP on January 20th for before and after care only. Care will not be available during regular school day hours.  Extended Day programs operated by third party providers may be open; check with your provider for details.

All OCDSB secondary schools will be open on January 20th and a regular school day is planned. All secondary students are expected to attend school.  

The attached fact sheet provides more detailed information, including information about picket lines.  There may be picket lines at many OCDSB sites on Monday.  Students and parents should review the fact sheet for information about crossing picket lines.

Please note that OCDSB schools ARE NOT affected by the one day walkout planned by OECTA on Tuesday, January 21st.  ALL OCDSB elementary and secondary schools will be open on that day.
