提醒：受教工罢工活动影响, 所有OCDSB小学将于2月11日和13日关闭两天

The Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario (ETFO) will be holding two days of walkouts this week, which will affect the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB).  

All OCDSB elementary schools will be closed to students on both Tuesday, February 11 and Thursday, February 13, 2020. This includes students in grade 7 and 8 attending Bell, Earl of March, Longfields-Davidson Heights, Merivale and Sir Robert Borden High Schools. Parents of elementary students (K-8) should make plans for childcare on both days.

This strike action will also affect students at the CHEO Treatment Centre and M.F. McHugh Education Centre. Parents of these students will be notified separately with further details.

All secondary schools will be open on both days and students in grades 9-12 are expected to attend school.

During ETFO strike days, school bus transportation will not be available to elementary students (K-8), but will continue as scheduled for secondary students (9-12). Please refer to the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority for details.

The Extended Day Program will be open for students who are currently registered in EDP for before and after care only. Care will not be available during regular school day hours. Programs offered by third-party providers may also continue – parents are asked to check with their provider for details. All community use of school permits will continue as usual.

As a reminder, Friday, February 14 is a PA Day and there will be no school for elementary students on this date.

OCDSB schools will not be affected by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) rotating strikes this week.

The OCDSB will continue to send updates regarding additional labour actions which will affect schools. Parents are asked to monitor email, media, and school and district websites for updates. Further information can also be found on the OCDSB Labour Negotiations webpage.
